Wexford Science and Technology

Wexford Science and Technology considered installing fall protection systems in five buildings located in Baltimore, Maryland, and Hummelstown, Pennsylvania. The buildings range from 3 to 10 stories and were constructed in the 2000s. However, upon the completion of the project, none of the buildings had certified fall protection systems in place. Mosaic Engineering reviewed the building drawings, conducted site visits, and performed limited load tests to determine if existing components can be certified as anchors. They provided recommendations for additional anchors to ensure safe access for window cleaning and swing-stage access. A field compliance audit identified non-compliant elements and provided cost estimates for necessary corrections.
